Vardo Systems Ventilation Attachment for Compost Toilets Solids Container

Introduction:

This ventilation attachment clips on to the side of a 20 litre bucket (c. 30-35 sm diameter) used in many DIY compost toilet setups as the ‘solids container’. This vent is designed to be used in conjunction with an inline fan and 32mm ventilation hose to create fresh air circulation within the solids bucket, helping dry out ‘humanure’ as well as making sure nasty smells never reach you. No wonder premium compost toilets come with an integral ventilation system, while most DIY setups lack this crucial feature. Adequate ventilation is essential to a healthy atmosphere in leisure vehicles such as camper vans, motorhomes, boats, off-grid setups and tiny homes.

• Fits the widely available round 20 litre buckets (c. 30-35 sm diameter) used in many DIY compost toilet setups – widely available only, for example from Euro Car Parts (Product Code 552980430). 
• This vent allows you to attach a 32mm (1.25 inch) spiralled delivery hose to form a sealed outlet for air flow from an inline fan or blower to be directed through the hose to the outside.

Parts Included:

• 1 x Liquids Container Vent
• 1 x 9mm hose insert

Installation Guidance:

• You will need a hole saw between 40-45mm to make the thru-hole for the hose – not included – if the hose passes through a partition.
• Compatible with 32mm (1.25 inch) suction / delivery pond hose (32mm I.D x 38 mm O.D.) – not included.
